Abstract

The species-type of the genus Liosarcophaga Enderlein, 1928 - Cynomyia madeirensis Schiner, 1898 and two new species for the Ethiopian fauna are described - Liosarcophaga jacobi sp. n. and Liosarcophaga kanoiana sp. n. - which have been colected in the Cape Province and are preserved in the Natal Museum Collection, Pietermaritzburg.
