Abstract

The tropic of this research work was to investigate how far white-rotting fungi as well in living as in sterile condition may habe any influence on the attack of the suberranean termite Reticulitermes lucifugus var. santonensis de Feyteaud on beech wood. One of the four species of this rotting type Pleurotus ostreatus is suitable for upgrading the food while the other fungi showed a distinct negative efficiency. The fungus mentioned may be equated with brown-rotting and certain soft-rotting fungi in this way.
