Beitrag zur Kenntnis der Hummel-Fauna des südwestlichen Niederösterreich (Hymenoptera: Apidae).

Abstract

In addition to the comprehensive description of the bumble-bees of Upper Austria given by Kusdas 1968 this paper presents a survey of the southwestern part of Lower Austria based on extensive collections made in the last five years, on previous studies of the local fauna and on sporadic reports of finds given in publications. Twenty species of Bombus an seven species of Psithyrus were established for the district of Scheibbs, and thirteen of these species are new in this region.
