The Sphaeroceridae of Obergurgel (Central Alps, Tyrol) were studied as part as acomplex research project. 33 species were established, and one of them, Copromyza (Crumomyia) alpicola spec. nov. (related with Copromyza gelida Hackmann) is described as entirely new. Copromyza (Crumomyia) annulus ssp. pruinosa Richards and Trachyopella bovilla Collin, both known only from the nortern Palearctic, turned out to be probably arcto-alpine species, being the first cases with such a distribution within the family Sphaeroceridae. The following characteristics of some species of Compromyza (Crumomyia) are described for the first time and illustrated, and their relationships are discussed Copromyza (Crumomyia) annulus ssp. pruinosa Richards (Aedeagus complex, female abdomen, egg); Copromyza (Crumomyia) zuskai Rohacek (female, Abdomen); Copromyza (Crumomyia) alpicola spec. nov. (males genitals, mesopleura); Copromyza (Crumomyia) gelida Hackman (Aedeagus-complex). The hatching abundance and the dominancy of the species are given. The sex index of the dominant species is established. The weigth of the species, fresh and dried, and the production of imagoes per m² and yaer are calculated. The hatching phenologies of dominant species are described.
