Abstract

The collection of the Department of Taxonomy of Insects in the Eberswalde branch of the Institute of Plant Protection Research (former Deutsches Entomologisches Institut) includes types of 27 species out of 32 species that Rudolf Sachse described. They were regarded as missing, but they were transferred to the institute as early as 1909 with the Kraatz collection. Letters from Sachse to Kiesenwetter and Kraatz in the archives of the library of the Department of Taxonomy of Insects yield personal information about this author.
