Abstract

The present paper forms the first part of a survey of the leaf-beetles (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) of the GDR and covers the subfamilies Donaciinae, Orsodacninae, Criocerinae and Clythrinae. A key to all subfamilies of Chrysomelidae and keys to the genera and species discussed here ar given. 14 genera with 60 species are listed, two of these species probably do not occur in the GDR. The subsequent second part of the survey of the leaf-beetles, covering the subfamily Cryptocephalinae, was published in the journal in 1977.
