Abstract

Atrecus parvioculatus sp. n. and A. schuelkei sp. n. are described from northeastern Anatolia and from western Sichuan (China), respectively. The following synonymies are established: A. pilicornis (Paykull) = A. suturalis (Motschulsky), syn. n., and A. affinis (Paykull) = A. affinis caucasicus (Roubal), syn. n. A lectotype is designated for Othius suturalis Motschulsky, 1845. The primary and secondary sexual characters of the new taxa are illustrated, and a key to the eight Palaearctic species of the genus is presented.
