Abstract

A lectotype of Melolontha farinosa Kraatz, 1864, from Greece is designated. The name is a junior synonym of Melolontha pectoralis Megerle von Mühlfeld, 1812. Moreover, it is a junior homonym of Melolontha farinosa Castelnau, 1840. The identity of the latter remains dubious, since typical material is untraceable.
