Abstract

The known range of Cylindridia Casey is extended from North into Middle and South America. Cylindridia nitidissima (Casey), C. perexilis Casey and C. simulator Casey are new synonyms of C. prolixa (LeConte). Three new species are described from high elevations in Middle America: C. propinqua sp. n. from southern Mexico, and C. fuscipes sp. n. and C. rubripes sp. n. from Costa Rica. A fifth, still unidentified species is recorded from Santa Catarina, Brazil.
