Abstract

A new species of the genus Cyphon from Laos is described. The descriptions of Cyphon ferrugatulus, Indiocyphon rufopacus and Exochomoscirtes tetrastigma are augmented. The previously unknown female of Cyphon ferrugatulus is described. Cyphon ferrugatulus, Indiocyphon rufopacus, Scirtes japonicus and Exocho­moscirtes tetrastigma are new records for Laos. An identification key to species of the Cyphon ochraceus subgroup is presented. Additionally, new records of species already known from Laos and a catalogue of Scirtidae so far known from Laos are included.
