Abstract

A new subgenus Indialaeus subgen. nov. and new species Hylaeus (Indialaeus) birmanicus sp. n. are described from the Oriental Region. The subgenus is characterised by the special form of the male terminalia. Further special characters exist in the form of the mandibles and the supraclypeal area of both sexes. An identification key for the species so far described and a catalogue containing the new combinations is presented.
