Ein weiterer Beitrag zur Synonymie der Cocciden.

Abstract

There is given a compilation, which is to redress confusions in the recent nomenclature of scale insects upon inspection of publications less easy of access. So it was found, that several authors do not agree as to the definition of the genus, especially with the so called cryptogyne forms, the adult females of which do not leave the exuviae of the second instar larvae. These females remain enclosed into the considerably enlarged and indurating exuviae, where they suffer a further reduction so that the usual differentiation characters, especially the formation of the pygidial margin, must be taken from the second instar larvae.
