Abstract

A small number of fleas (Siphonaptera), taken by the entomologist J. Klapperich /Bonn during his two exploratory expeditions to Afghanistan, contains a hitherto unknown species (Nosopyllus afghanus n. sp.) and four widely distributed species, among which the specimens of Oropsylla silantiewi may indicate a subspecific differentiation.
