Zur Kenntnis der Raubinsekten von Tetranychus urticae Koch (Thysanoptera; Heteroptera).

Abstract

The Thysanoptera Cryptothrips nigripes Reuter and Scolothrips longicornis Priesner and the Heteroptera Anthocoris nemorum L. and Triphleps majuscula Reut, are predators of Tetranychus urticae Koch. S. longicornis is attacking only the spider mites during the summer, whereas C. nigripes only attacks the overwintering females of T. urticae. Both of the species of Heteroptera are present as well in the winter habitat as among the summer populations. It is discussed the rôle of the said predators as a factor limiting an outbreak of spider mites.
