Abstract

In this paper the author enumerates 324 species new to Franconia, which increase the number of species indicated for this district to 1237. Two new species are described: Phaenolobus fraudator and Mesoleius ribesii. Several species of Mesoleptus (Exolytus) Grav. and Stilpnus Grav. were particularly studied and compared with the types. Partly the species of the above mentioned genera can easily be separated by means of the structure of the antennal flagellum. Of the species having been insufficiently described up to now detailed descriptions and figures are given. A key to the species of Pion (Catoglyptus) is included. Finally there are exhibited some contributions to phenology, population dynamics, and ecology of Ichneumon flies. Because the connexions between Ichneumon flies and specieal biotops were intimately studied there is also included a list of biotops and their characteristic Ichneumonid species.
