Abstract

There are summarized the results of the author's studies on synonymy and distribution of the palearctic species of Rhodobates Ragonot and Pachyarthra Amsel. The females of R. nodicornellus Rebel, P. ochroplicella Chretien, P. lividella Chretien, and P. mediterranea Baker are described. Paraplutella algiricella Rebel(Plutellidae) was found conspecific with Rhodobates mauretanicus Petersen, the latter becoming a synonym of algiricella Rebel, the monotypic genus Paraplutella Rebel becomes a synonym of Rhodobates Ragonot (Tineidae). The type of Myrmecozela serotinella Chretien is a female of Pachyarthra mediterranea Baker. The latter name has priority. Keys for the identification by means of male and female genitalia are given.
