Abstract

The paper gives a survey of the species of the family Dermestidae known from the Balkan countries and of those known from Albania up to now. The material collected by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut contained 56 specimens representing 7 species. In addition 33 specimens from other institutes representing 6 species were studied, 2 of which were not present in the expedition material. 6 of these 9 species were new in Albania. Now there are 11 species of this family known from Albania.
