Abstract

This paper gives a survey of the Scapliidiidae of the Balkan peninsula and mentions all the specimens of this family collected in Albania which are to be found in Deutsches Entomologisches Institut at Eberswalde (4 specimens), Zoological Museum of the Humboldt University of Berlin (11 specimens), National Museum at Prague (5 specimens), Hungarian Museum of Science at Budapest (5 specimens), Zemaljski Muzej Sarajevo (18 specimens) and in the collection of Dr. L. Tamanini (5 specimens). They total 48 specimens of 7 species, 3 of them new in the fauna of Albania.
