Über die Verbreitung der Foucartia depilis Kraatz, 1859 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae).

Abstract

Till now Foucartia depilis Kraatz was known only in one specimen (type), which was collected in the Harz Mountains. But the real distribution area of this species is in the Balkans. Therefore it can be assumed that the type found in the Harz Mountains was imported. Foucartia depilis is to be deleted from the Central European fauna. Finally this species is characterized and compared with Foucartia ptochoides (Bach).
