Abstract

In the years 1964 and 1965 the leaf roller species Laspeyresia sancta-cruciana Karpinski et Toll, 1962, which is new in Germany, was bred from Larix decidua Mill. It was discovered in the woods of Tharandt near Dresden. The caterpillars developed in the resinous wound tissue of injured larch trunks and were found on larch trees about 10 years old as well as on trees about 40 years old.
