The present paper discusses the Chrysomelidae of Albania with the exception of the subfamily Halticinae, which was dealt with in volume 15, p. 701-729; 1965 of this journal. The material of the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut used for this partial study amounts to 482 individuals of 57 species, 19 species of which are new in Albania. In addition, 17 individuals from the collections of Grebenscikov 1958, Friese 1959 and Klausnitzer 1959 were available, which include 2 other first finds. - The total collection of Chrysomelidae made by the expedition to Albania numbers 1086 individuals of 106 species, including 43 first finds. The smaller collections from Albania (85 individuals in all), which were also evaluated, yielded 6 other first finds. Thus there are now 217 species or subspecies of the family Chrysomelidae known from the territory of the People's Republic of Albania.
