Abstract

The Tipulides collected by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches In- stitut total 22 individuals of 11 species; 8 species were found for the first time in the fauna of that country and 1 female belongs to a nova species. Material of earlier expeditions to Albania from various other museums (93 individuals of 27 species) was studied for this paper. Most of it had not been evaluated so that many first finds in Albania were noted. At present 35 species of Tipulides are known from Albania, while about 70 may be supposed to exist there. Three novae species are described.
