Die Genitalien der europäischen Epermeniidae (Lepidoptera: Epermeniidae).

Abstract

The present paper tries to characterize and define the family Epermeniidae according to new systematic principles. The morphology of the genitals of male and female was very useful for tihs purpose. Of the 28 European species known so far, eight turned out to be synonyms, while in one case the synonymy was cancelled. The species were re-grouped in four genera based on definite characteristics. Keys are given of the subfamilies, tribes, genera and species according to the genitals and external characteristics.
