Zur systematischen Stellung einiger Gattungen der Heliodinidae / Schreckensteiniidae sowie Revision der paläarktischen Arten der Gattung Pancalia Curtis, 1830 (Lepidoptera).

Abstract

The present study makes an attempt to clarify the systematic position of some genera of the family Heliodinidae / Schreckensteiniidae. It was found that this family is a heterogeneous mixture of genera. The genus Chrysoesthia Hübner (= Heliodines Stainton) is the sole representative of the family Chrysoesthiidae, while Schreckensteinia Hübner and Stathmopoda Herrich-Schäffer should be regarded for the present as independent families. Pancalia Curtis and Phosphaticola Viette are included in the Coamopterygidae. - The palaearctic species of the genus Pancalia Curtis are revised. One synonymy is abolished and two new species are described, so that now six species are known from the palaearctic region.
