Abstract

In evaluation of the Scoliidae collected by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (23 individuals of 3 species, one of them new), a list of the Scoliidae known now from Albania (10 species) is prepared. It is part of a comprehensive description of the Scoliidae of the Balkan peninsula (16 species) which includes the study of previous publications. Scolia erythrocephala Fabricius had been known from the Balkan only by a single find on the island of Korfu; now an interesting variety is described.
