This paper sums up our present knowledge of the Tenebrionidae oi Albania. It covers the collection made by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (128 individuals of 16 species), collections made by Grebenscikov and Scheiding (1958) and Friese (1959), both in Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, finds made by Bischoff (1930 to 1936) now in the Zoological Museum in Berlin, and material from the Hungarian Museum of Natural History in Budapest collected by Apfelbeck (1906) and after), Smetana(1958), Muray (1958 to 1960) and Grabowski, Mader, Zoufal and Winneguth (another 241 individuals in all), the total amounting to 369 individuals of 51 species, 12 of them being first finds. Including the data given in previous publications, there are now 267 species of Tenebrionidae established for the Balkan peninsula, but only 71 of these are at present known from Albania, among them 4 endemisms (2 sp., 2 ssp.).
