Abstract

The genus Trochiscocoris is represented by two species: Trochiscocoris rotundatus Horvath with the subspecies aeneus ssp. n. from Central Kasakhstan and Trochiscocoris hemipterus Jakovlev from Transcaucasia, Turkey and Marocco. It is not correct to transfer this genus to another tribe. With reference to a number of characteristics it has sometimes been assigned to the tribe Eurydemini Dist. and placed next to the genera Capnoda Jakovlev and Bagrada Stal. The bugs of this genus are as a rule hemipteral, but Trochiscororis rotundatus sometimes has complete wings. Both species are chiefly based on foothills and hills with formations of steppe and desert. They probably feed on crucifers; their biology is largely unexplored. This paper gives a key to the species and data about their distribution.
