Abstract

The present paper reports on the Heteroptera found by the expedition to Albania by Deutschen Entomologischen Institutes; in addition, all records in leterature known from Albania are compiled and a comprehensive survey of the fauna in the Balkan peninsula are given. The expedition by DEI collected 2354 individuals of 236 species, 64 species being new to the fauna of Albania. Thus a total of 487 species of Heteroptera is known from the People's Republic of Albania.
