Abstract

On the basis of the material collected by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, which totals 12 individuals of 4 species, a comprehensive evaluation of the Albanian species of the genus Erebia Dalman of the Satyridae is presented. Comparative remarks on the distribution and variation of the species and subspecies on the Balkan peninsula are included. Of the 13 species previously noted from "Albania", only 11 species could be identified on the territory of the People Republik of Albania.
