Abstract

The collection of Scolytidae made by the expedition to Albania by Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, is evaluated, which includes 21 individuals of 6 species, all the 6 species being first finds in Albania. From previous finds received fro determination and from publications the Author has knowledge of 4 other species from this territory. This brings the number of the Albanian species of Scolytidae only to ten, less than ten per cent of the total number of species known from the Balkan peninsula.
