Information For Authors

  • Submit your manuscript online and keep track of it until publication.
  • Promote a modern and informed society by publishing your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license. Under this license, readers may copy, distribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material. However, the newly created product must in any case name your authorship! It may also only be published under the same conditions!
  • Enhance your contribution not only with conventional images, but also with additional media, such as exported bibliographies (ENW or RIS files), audio and video files, data sets, software modules, and so on. Here you can find more information about Citavi, EndNote and Zotero.
  • Register taxa that you have described as new to science at ZooBank. There you get a Life Science Identifier (LSID) for this nomenclatural act. Add the LSID to your contribution. Thus meet a requirement of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN), facilitate future processing, and accelerate the advancement of entomology.
  • Take advantage of Open Journal Systems (OJS). Each article gets a digital object identifier (DOI) and can be found clearly and sustainably. LOCKSS (Lots Of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archiving keeps copies of your publication safe in multiple locations.
  • With OJS you make your contribution more quickly known, and it will be verifiably more often cited. The standardized metadata of your contribution is fed into national and international networks via an OAI interface.
